Despite the name, this drink neither tasted like nor had similar effects to opium. It says it contains Meishi mushroom extract which sounded interesting, but I looked them up, and though traditional Chinese medicine practitioners will swear by the stuff, it’s considered in the west to be, well, a mushroom. The flavor was quite similar to Basuka Gold or Krating Daeng with carbonation, and it kept me awake for a long time (I had a hard time falling asleep later) without getting me jittery, but there was nothing outstanding about it. 3/5 Genkis
